The Invicta Men’s 1206 II Chronograph is stylish and serviceable, a piece of exceptional construction and elegance. Its superb design and muted, harmonious colors give it an eye-catching appeal that is sure to draw envious glances, while its dual-dial chronograph, small second hand and tachymeter bezel make it perfect for events where precise timing is needed. Since many such events take place on water, the fact that this watch is water resistant to 330 meters is also a strong point.
The two chronograph counters are for periods of 30 minutes and 12 hours, while the small seconds dial allows one-minute timing. There is also a large second hand in the standard position. The pushbuttons for the chronograph function are on either side of the crown, each angled with the curve of the case for easy setting. The tachymeter function allows the calculation of speed from elapsed time, which can come in handy at racing events.
The bezel and dial markers are in rose gold, contrasting well with the dark face. Large, luminous hour and minute hands ensure that this watch will be readable even under low light conditions. The Invicta logo is proudly displayed in the upper dial as well as on the back of the case. The color scheme is continued by the blackened steel of the case, bracelet and deployment buckle.
The Invicta 1206 is no petite watch. With a width of 45 millimeters, this is a substantial timepiece made for serious use in the real world. Its solid construction and Swiss-Quartz movement will keep it ticking through many shocks, while the flame-fused dial will resist scratching and stay beautiful for many years.
Similar watches sell for much higher prices from other watchmakers. Invicta is one of the new breed who are proving that quality timepieces aren’t just for millionaires.
